Main Street Bridge

Zak Dirt, Inc. will remove and replace the existing Main Street Bridge in two phases, relocate the existing water main, and widen the existing St. Vrain River channel for flood mitigation. Zak will also relocate a portion of the St. Vrain trail to the north side of the river and significant architectural enhancements to the new bridge.
The bridge replacement is part of Focus on South Main, a multi-year effort intended to improve the southeastern gateway to Longmont’s core along Main Street. There are three components that comprise the Focus on South Main effort: Main Street Bridge Replacement at St. Vrain Creek; Main Street Pavement Reconstruction, which is on winter shutdown until February; and Main Street and Ken Pratt Boulevard Intersection Improvements, which were completed in August.
