    Zak has been asked to rehabilitate the existing diversion structure across the Platte River. The project includes rip rap, grouted boulders, concrete apron, and sheet piling.

  • Southwest Underpass

    Zak will construct two pedestrian underpasses, a bicycle pavilion and path improvements. The projects are located at Hover Road/119 and at the mall.

  • Front Range Regional Trail

    Zak Dirt will be building just over 2 miles of bike path from the north end of Boyd Lake in Loveland to the intersection of Lemay and 392 in south Fort Collins. This project is expected to start in mid-June. We are currently finalizing contracts and subcontracts.

  • Willow Lake Dam

    Zak Dirt will be building a dam for Big Elk Meadows to replace one taken out during the September 2013 floods. Zak Dirt will be self-performing all of the work on this project. It will include 30,000+ CY of embankment, riprap facing of the inside face of the dam, building the outlet structure, and building the spillway.

  • Main Street Bridge

    Zak Dirt, Inc. will remove and replace the existing Main Street Bridge in two phases, relocate the existing water main, and widen the existing St. Vrain River channel for flood mitigation. Zak will also relocate a portion of the St. Vrain trail to the north side of the river and significant architectural enhancements to the new bridge.
    The bridge replacement is part of Focus on South Main, a multi-year effort intended to improve the southeastern gateway to Longmont’s core along Main Street. There are three components that comprise the Focus on South Main effort: Main Street Bridge Replacement at St. Vrain Creek; Main Street Pavement Reconstruction, which is on winter shutdown until February; and Main Street and Ken Pratt Boulevard Intersection Improvements, which were completed in August.
