Project Updates:

Landscaping work will continue until July 4th, at which time we should be ready to apply for substantial completion.

Phase 1 substructure has been completed on the Pratt Parkway Bridge and crews are finishing grading and riprap before erecting 18 concrete box girders weighing 90,000 lbs. each. Crews also successfully installed a 12’ diameter water-treatment manhole in a 20’ deep excavation only feet away from a building, a waterline, and live traffic.

Phase 1 abutment columns and pier walls are complete. False work and forming of pier caps is underway. Also underway is construction of the block retaining wall. Upcoming work includes installation of a 12” waterline across Saint Vrain Creek and new storm drain pipe south of the bridge.

A soil-nail shoring wall is currently being constructed along the project phaseline to allow for the new longer bridge by preventing collapse of the roadway. We are also drilling fifteen caissons for the substructure of the west half of the bridge. The girder plant has begun to cast the phase 1 concrete box girders, and the retaining wall block supplier has begun to cast blocks for our design-build geogrid-reinforced retaining wall at the south abutment.
