  • 104th Avenue Widening Phase 3B

    Improvements to widen East 104th Avenue from US Highway 85 to Lima Street to include: demolition, earthwork, concrete and some asphalt pavement, reconstruction of the Union Pacific Railroad crossing, curb and gutter, sidewalk, a new I-76 overpass and modifications to the existing overpass, new O’Brian Canal bridges, extension of the Burlington Ditch box culvert, pedestrian underpass, traffic signals, interconnect conduit, traffic control, storm sewer, retention ponds, sanitary sewer, potable and non-potable waterlines.

  • Sekich Business Park

    Zak Dirt, Inc. will install a drainage system and asphalt pave Hilltop Road just east of I-25. Paving is scheduled for the beginning of November and the project is scheduled for completion the third week of November, pending weather.

  • Foothills Inlet Structure

    Zak was contracted to rebuild the existing head gate structure for the Foothills Dam that was damaged during the recent floods. The project includes the removal of the existing damaged structure, grout curtain cutoff walls, the rebuild of a new concrete diversion and turnout structure, and the installation of new slide gates.

  • Foothills Outlet

    Zak was contracted to remove a siphon structure that was severely damaged by the flood, and then rebuild the outlet ditch. The new siphon structure was constructed and 240’ of the outlet ditch was put into a pipe. Existing outlet ditch was also removed and rebuilt.

  • Prospect Dam Reconstruction

    Zak Dirt, Inc. has been contracted to remove the existing concrete face off of the dam and reconstruct the upstream embankment to a 3:1 slope. Riprap will then be placed on the new dam face. Zak Dirt will also reconstruct several concrete structures associated with the dam.

  • Highland Headgate Structure

    Due to the flood in Lyons, the headgate structure for the Highland ditch system in the Saint Vrain River was wiped out. Zak Dirt was asked to work as part of a design/build team to accelerate the reconstruction of this project.

  • Peoria Street Bridge Replacement over I-76

    The project will replace the Peoria Street Bridge over Interstate 76. The new structure will widen the shoulders along Peoria Street. Work will also include roadway construction, curb and gutter, water quality ponds, and structural coating of the bridge. Peoria Street will be closed throughout the duration of the project and detours will be in place. The project schedule is very aggressive to minimize the impact to motorists.

    This project took 4 months to construct and was finished 30 days ahead of schedule.

  • Sheridan Avenue Bridge Over BNSF and UP Railroad

    The project will replace an existing bridge on Sheridan Blvd that travels over the BNSF and UP railroad tracks. Work will be done in two phases and include the addition of sidewalks on the bridge, drainage work, and precast panel walls. The bridge will be lengthened to allow for future RTD FasTracks to go underneath the bridge.
